JONAS APACIBLE
This Royal Knight wins the 27th place trophy at the K-5 Under 900 section of the Chess SuperNationals this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. He played 7 chess matches, winning 5.5 points in a section of 521 students from all over the United States. Jonas has only been playing since October 2016, that's about 8 months. He is a 3rd grader at Rancho Verde Elementary. He was his team's leading scorer and the team captain as most Royal Knights are. Jonas has had an incredible chess year. He is a true CHAMPION. We set goals and he has managed to achieve them all. I am very proud of you Jonas. It's an honor to be your chess coach. You did your job at SuperNationals.
