Library’s free chess lessons aim to strengthen players: Children who gathered Saturday in Ray Martinez’s classroom at the Brownsville Public Library were there to learn battle strategy.
The Royal Knights is a group of chess students being coached and trained by Ray Martinez. They study the chess games of the Masters, learn and drill endgame skills, practice chess tactics and of course opening theory. Royal Knights Top Boards have won many tournaments. They play in higher sections and "OPEN" tournaments. Royal Knights are Winners and Leaders.
