The Brownsville Royal Knights Chess Club
will start meeting on Fridays 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The idea is to strengthen our Scholastic Division. I want to
provide students the resources they need to develop and
improve their chess game. I invite you to play a game of chess.
Playing last week was Philip Martinez 1724, Ray Martinez 1665,
Jon Beaudry 1544, Edgar Santoyo 1529, Brianna Guillen 1421,
Christian Muraira 1385, Ricardo Santoyo 1346, Jon S. Flores 1204,
Daniel Soto, Anthony Guerra, Jesse Guillen, Jorge Mares, and
Guadalupe Lopez.
Club member Jon Beaudry wanted to analysis some Sicilian Lines.
We stayed until almost 9:00 p.m. We open some books and went at it.
The Royal Knights is a group of chess students being coached and trained by Ray Martinez. They study the chess games of the Masters, learn and drill endgame skills, practice chess tactics and of course opening theory. Royal Knights Top Boards have won many tournaments. They play in higher sections and "OPEN" tournaments. Royal Knights are Winners and Leaders.
