Osvaldo's new USCF Rating: 1046

Royal Knight Osvaldo Cortes, 

a 6th grader at Stillman MS takes home the 

4th place Trophy this weekend at the Russell Chess 

Tournament in the K-12 Under 1000 Section. 

Osvaldo started playing chess this past Summer 

and has only played in 8 chess tournament this year. 

He has already reach a USCF Rating of 1046. Osvaldo 

is the type of student that wants to be the best at

whatever he decides to do. Osvaldo is a Pilot,

a soccer player, and an honor student (all "A" s).

I am so PROUD of you Osvaldo.

Moid Asif Chess Co-Champion

              Royal Knights Student Moid Asif 

won all his chess matches and took home the big TROPHY. 
He competed in the USCF Rated Chess Tournament at
Faulk Middle School this weekend in Brownsville, Texas.
He was one of 4 Co-Champions at the end of the tournament.
Moid is the K-5 Under 1000 Champion. he will soon be playing
against older students to test his skills on the chess board.
Moid is a 3rd grader at the Discovery School in Edinburg.
I am so proud of you Moid ..... Awesome Job!!!

1st place at "Houston Open 2013" U500 division

Jeffrey Kapilivsky wins 1st place 
at McAllen City Championships
He scored 4.5 of 5 matches to win 1st place in the U900 division.

Texas Scholastic Chess Championship
in McAllen, Texas this weekend. She
placed 20th place in the Elementary
Novice section. Awesome Job Riya...

COBY WINS NATIONALTRIP TO NASHVILLE

COBY PORTALES WINS NATIONAL TRIP TO NASHVILLE.
to compete at the Super Nationals this April 5 - 7, 2013.
He won 2nd place after winning 6 of 7 chess matches this weekend at the TCA Region VII Scholastic  Chess Championships
in Los Fresnos, Texas. He played in the Elementary Championships Division.
Since joining the Royal Knights Chess Team,
his rating has improved from a USCF rating of 750 to
his new official USCF rating of 1466. Coby has worked
hard and managed to do all this within one year.
Coby goes to Sharp Elementary. Coby, I am very PROUD
